I request the government to stop the COVID-19 lockdown immediately.
The Prime Minister said that the lockdown will not end soon for fear of a second wave. Effects of a second wave are questioned and debated by scientists. We cannot allow our lives to be dictated by scientists in ivory towers. It is time to save the future of our children and grandchildren.
With the Coronavirus Act 2020 the government has restricted our right to work, our incomes, and our right to move freely in our own country on the basis of computer models built on very uncertain data. The lockdown is driving this country into an unprecedented disaster that will wreck many lives and may kill more people than COVID-19. Countries like Sweden show that a lockdown is not necessary, and more practical measures can be taken instead to protect those who are really vulnerable.
