Petition Action

Allow members of a Private Pension Plan to make changes to their Pension Plan

Petition Details

For Parliament to enforce Private Pension Providers to allow members to 1) Release Equity from their Pensions (up to £30,000 tax free in any tax year starting with the current tax year (2020-2021) & 2) Dictate their own Retirement Age.

Additional Information

Unprecedented times, call for unprecedented measures. Parliament should enforce these changes in the UK to ensure a Private Pension Member can release equity of up to £30,000 tax free in any tax year to help their financial situation & also allow members to dictate their own Retirement Age. This must be able to be done directly with the Pension Provider and not a 3rd Party. Giving members the ability to do this will ensure that members have the ability to dictate their own financial journey.
