Schools to remain closed until September. Open for key workers and vulnerable.
Phased opening of schools adopting social distancing and a reduced timetable will damage our young children’s mental health and have a lasting affect on them throughout their lives. Keep schools open for key workers and vulnerable children only. Reopen for all students again in September if safe.
A new syndrome found in children linked to covid-19 is putting them in ITU. Death rates for covid-19 still high. No real drop in new cases. Testing is still poor. Social distancing young children will damage their mental health and ability to make relationships. Young children do not have the understanding of an adult. They are terrified of this virus, and government are asking them to ignore fears, go back to school with teachers in PPE and them not being allowed to interact with their peers.
