Petition Action

Change the law so tenancy agreements have a break clause for exceptional events

Petition Details

Change the law to ensure that tenancy agreements must have a break or surrender clause to ensure that when there are exceptional events , such as COVID you can surrender the agreement as long as you vacate the property

Additional Information

In this COVID crisis many university students and workers have been made to go home or leave property. They are still expected to pay in full any future rent. In many university situations the payments are often a full term and there are no break clauses or surrender options.
