Free education from 9 months to 16 years of age
Offer free education to all children from the age of 9 months to 16 years.
The cost of childcare for working families is too high. It is more cost effective for parents not to work which is damaging to the economy, draining the welfare system and widening the attainment gap between young people. Provision for children should not depend on their parent’s socio-economic group.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure whether you want the UK Government to lower the age at which children start school or whether you want free childcare to be available for all children between the age of nine months and 16 years.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like to happen.
