Include unpaid carers in the key workers category

Petition Details

Please include UNPAID carers in the 'key workers' category. Please recognise their vital work - we have to live on £67 per week carers allowance could you? "An estimated 8.8 MILLION carers save the economy £132 BILLION per annum -an average of £19,336 per carer."(source Carers UK.)

Additional Information

I am an UNPAID carer for my 93-year-old father. I am part of a hidden army working behind closed doors 24/7 - we cannot go home after finishing work like paid carers/other workers. Most of us cannot remember our last holiday. At the very least, we should all be given the same status as key workers.
