Exempt essential workers from income tax in perpetuity for maintaining services

Petition Details

Many who are/have worked maintaining essential services, from Doctors/Nurses, Police, Firefighters, down to couriers, cleaners, rubbish collectors, risking their personal safety, are often earning minimum wage and should be recognised for their efforts by making their salaries exempt from Income Tax

Additional Information

It has at long last been recognised the country can not function without these workers who appear to be often overlooked as to how vital they are in ensuring society continues even in the most difficult of times, the Government have recently decided what services are crucial to the country and my suggestion is that they should be recognised by making those working in these sectors to be exempt from paying any Income Tax for ever on salaries earned by them whilst performing these duties.
