Force UK insurers to pay out on business interruption policies for covid19
Small businesses across the UK have business interruption policy which cover notifiable human disease. However UK insurers are doing everything they can not to pay out on the policies.
The money is needed to cover rent and for profit lost whilst sticking to government closure, the majority of small businesses have families at home and are not entitled to many of the benefits furlough staff have.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The decision to pay out under a policy is one for individual insurance companies, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you are unhappy with the decision of your insurer you should complain directly to them.
If you are unsatisfied with how an insurer responds to your complaint you may wish to contact the financial ombudsman: www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/businesses/complaints-deal/insurance
