Waive the £680 pre-application fee for students applying to declare Bankruptcy.
This petition requests, in light of current circumstances, the consideration and implementation of the following:
. That the £680 pre-application fee, incurred when applying to declare Bankruptcy, be waived for students, who are such, at any time during the lockdown period.
. That such a subsequent applicant be relieved of any harm to the credit rating of said applicant, as a direct consequence of and in the case of, a successful bankruptcy application.
. That these requests, if implemented, be done so, with the retention of the current application process and criteria, excluding the £680 application fee.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Credit ratings are not a matter for the UK Government or Parliament but for credit rating companies.
