Start regular Covid19 testing of all residents at Care Homes
There are too many care home residents dying of Covid19 before being tested. In a recent example, a resident died within 3 days of infection before the home could arrange a test. This petition seeks regular testing of residents and care workers in Care Homes.
The Government target is for 200,000 tests before month end as of 6th May. As the anticipated easing of lockdown restrictions approaches, there is a danger that these residents are under greater risk. Even if one less death is possible through this initiative, it will be worth the effort.
