Stop the dangerous reopening of schools and children's nurseries on 1st June
You told us you would only reopen schools if it was safe to do so, you are not breaking this promise. Do NOT risk the lives of children, staff and their families on this appalling course of action. Do NOT open the schools until absolutely safe to do so when we are at COVID Level ONE only!
You are in charge the DfE have just told childcare providers to be ready to open from 1st June, we will be lucky to have any staff willing to come in never mind children. We CANNOT follow Government Guidance i.e. Social Distancing, we CANNOT secure a stable source of PPE so our staff will be at risk. We simply CANNOT risk assess for COVID. The only control measure open to us is TO REMAIN CLOSED. This brings the risk to Zero. Stop keep your orders in place to close schools and nurseries.
