Open Parliament before you open schools.
Children/Teens are not your Guinea Pigs! We would like you to show us by risking yourselves how prepared you are for schools to be open. Do not open schools until you are certain that children/teens across England will be safe and safe to others.
The average hospital death rate due to coronavirus is going down, that does not mean the overall death rate is going down too. People are scared to go to hospital because they don't want to catch the virus. As we know, children/teens are usually asymptomatic/mild symptoms, by opening schools you could increase the home death rate for coronavirus and put more people at risk. By opening the schools you could be putting schools, families and people travelling at risk.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since you started your petition the House of Commons has returned, and rules allowing all Members to participate in proceedings virtually have fallen. The House of Commons has agreed that Members who are unable to attend Westminster for medical or public health reasons related to the pandemic can attend proceedings virtually.
We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:
