Establish Coronavirus Service Medal for all who helped defeat the Coronavirus
To defeat the coronavirus in it will have taken an army whose battalions include the NHS, Care Homes, volunteers, the armed forces and many more. In recognition of all these valiant heroes we ask that the government establish the Coronavirus Service Medal to award to the many who we own so much.
Effectively the UK has been on a war footing to tackle the Coronavirus taking an army of people to defeat the decease; putting their own lives at risk. This deserves formal recognition. There are many in the NHS, in care homes, the volunteers without which local communities would not have coped, the armed forces testing and providing logistical support and many more. The individual nurses, care workers, volunteers and others should be recognised formally for saving our country from Coronavirus.
