Create a Rescue Grant for Pubs with Business rates over £51000
To provide pubs with Business Rateable Value of over £51000 with a financial grant to enable them to re-open and trade after Covid-19.
Make changes to the rate of VAT/VAT holiday for 2020/21
Overhaul business rates valuation to a fair and consistent procedure by April 2021.
To preserve the Local pub that is at the heart our community.
To protect jobs in the hospitality sector.
To encourage the growth seen at the start of 2020 with the opening of 320 pubs.
To support pubs that will see an initial dramatic decline in turnover when they re-open whilst overheads remain the same.
To enable pubs to open without taking on debt in an already low Margin business.
To ensure accurate business rates valuations across sector
