Petition Action

No Tax increase for key workers who have worked through the Coronavirus pandemic

Petition Details

In the event of any income tax increases likely to arise due to Coronavirus ensure key workers who worked through the Coronavirus pandemic are exempt from the tax increase.

Additional Information

The government has asked key workers across many sectors to work through the Coronavirus pandemic at great risk to our health and that of our families in order to keep the economy going. We have had no option to be furloughed and have worked hard through the pandemic. Therefore when the inevitable tax increase comes to recoup the massive deficit created it seems unfair that Key workers should be rewarded with non other than a tax increase for keeping the economy afloat in a time of emergency.
