Petition Action

NHS to categorise Hypertension as Clinically Vulnerable for COVID-19.

Petition Details

The World Health Organisation has listed this at the top of their list under 'who is at risk...' Most, if not all articles on coronavirus and high BP suggest that those suffering from this condition are among the high risk group, and contracting coronavirus would be deadly.

Additional Information

Employers and workplaces all over the UK follow the guidance published by the NHS. If the NHS recognises this then it would mean that Hypertensives in the UK can shield themselves by staying at home and working from home for 12 weeks.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is a clinical decision for the NHS.
