Increase taxes on companies making super-normal profits to fund support for SMEs
The Government should increase taxes or create a new windfall tax for companies reporting super-normal profits since the outbreak of Coronavirus to fund support for small to medium businesses struggling due the Covid-19 crisis
The Government has announced it will be making over £300 billion available to protect businesses and others affected by Coronavirus and more may be needed. To prevent increasing the National Debt and to make the burden equitable, companies profiting from the Covid-19 crisis should be taxed to help cover these costs.
