Binge drinkers should be fined for using hospital resources.
Fixed penalties should be levied on those who abuse alcohol on nights out and, as a direct result, are admitted to A&E and consume valuable NHS resources.
Such penalties would vary in severity according to the degree of hospital treatment required and the revenue raised would be reinvested in the NHS to help those with alcohol addiction problems.
