Give Social Care workers and Nurses "Key worker Tax allowance" and benefits.
The Central government to increase their level of Net pay, i.e. introduce “Key worker personal allowance”.
The local governments can offer subsidised Council Tax, Transport on the buses, tubes and trains as offered to the pensioners.
Whilst everyone is keen to get back to “old norm”, we have a huge opportunity to make a “better norm”. Let us never forget our frontline social care workers and nurses post COVID-19. We should use this opportunity to show our appreciation and make a “better norm” for our champion workers.
An average social care worker and nurses, after Tax, NI and transport costs often have to make tough decisions on daily basis.
Government can balance reductions in personal allowances with higher earners.
