Keep schools closed until it is safe to open for all.
Schools should remain closed to all but front line and vulnerable children until the virus is really under control. This, week four schools have closed due to covid 19 infection. It is Not safe to open yet. Keep our children safe.
1. Every teacher wants to teach, we have not stopped teaching we are providing children with an education either remotely or through work packs.
2. We do not want to be the source of a second epidemic leading to significantly more deaths.
3. The refusal to protect our educators and children through appropriate strategies like face masks and face shields is putting all at risk.
4.BMA supports the non opening of schools until there is diffident evidence to test trace and treat appropriately!.
