Require candidates for UK elections to pass an enhanced DBS test

Petition Details

The Government should require all candidates standing for UK elections to pass an enhanced DBS check.

Additional Information

Many of those who deal with vulnerable people and children need to pass a DBS check in order to be employed in that role.
Currently our politicians make decisions that affect all of us. We would not employ an abuser to work in a domestic abuse refuge but currently an abuser could make laws about domestic abuse.
Our politicians must be held to the same regulations as those they lead.
