Extend the Self Employed Grant Scheme in line with the Furlough Scheme
The Chancellor announced that the furlough Scheme for Covid-19 was to be extended until October 2020. The Chancellor / Government did not however extend the Self Employed Grant Scheme leaving many people in this employment sector not knowing how they are going to get their next income / support from
We need the Chancellor / Government to realise that self employed individuals are as equally important as people in employed roles and have probably had a bigger financial hit than most. This is due to them having to wait a minmum of 3 months without any financial help. That money can only go so far and more assistance is needed during this lockdown and beyond June 2020.
