Urge Gambia to meet its international obligations regarding religious freedom
The Government should issue a statement in support of the Christian community in Gambia, and urge the Gambian government to abide by its international obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
The Christian community in Gambia has suffered considerably in the past, and there are serious concerns that the new constitution that has been proposed will create further difficulties for this minority community.
