Delay the return to school until August 2020 and start an early summer holiday
* Postpone the return of children to school until August
* Start an early summer holidays now to eliminate the need to home school
* Fund Keyworker families support to ensure that they have childcare during an early summer
* Create a staggered intake back to school in August
With the current threat of Covid-19 and the nation's exhaustion, we request an early summer holidays, now, to maintain good health and well-being.
Children would return to school in August when schools will undoubtedly be more safe, calm, prepared and manageable and not in a state of panic and flux.
During this early summer the Government can then use the time to direct councils and schools in planning a unified approach to how the children's education will continue at school from September.
