Automatic Indefinite leave to remain for NHS and social care workers in the UK
Immigration health surcharge tripled during the last 18 months and a UK healthcare worker family have to pay more than £10000 as visa fee and £12000 as surcharge on top of their NI and tax contribution. Please consider their contributions during the unprecedented time and give them automatic ILR
Government recently announced automatic one year visa renewal for NHS and social care workers, but it only included less than 1% of healthcare workers as they only included workers in tire 2 visa whose visa ending before October 2020. Rather than that they all need to pay the same visa fee next year as the visa fee for one year and three year are same, for getting eligibility to apply ILR. It is like government just postponing collecting visa fee to next year. please value their contributions.
