Reduce tuition fees for students who face mostly online lectures for 2020-2021
The government should pressure universities to reduce tuition fees for students who face having to learn via online lectures
Paying £9250 a year for learning online, which can be done at much better value using independent resources, is unfair on students who don’t see the extortionate tuition fees justifying the benefits of university
Many students are reporting that their experience of online lectures so far isn’t fulfilling their expectation for university standards. The lack of a lecture structured day means less efficient studying and threatens them progressing as expected on their course.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The fees universities charge are a matter for individual universities, and not the Government or House of Commons.
If your university course is affected by coronavirus in the next academic year, you could start a petition calling on the Government to reimburse all or part of your tuition fees.
