Mandetory yearly increase in pay in line with the consumer price index.
Every worker should get a pay increase every year inline with the consumer price index.
Parliament has given its own MP's this very thing for the past 15 years if not more. It's time that this extended to the rest of the UK.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Government sets national minimum wages, but isn't responsible for setting pay for privately employed individuals.
We could accept a petition about linking public sector pay increases to the consumer price index, or committing to particular increases in minimum wage, if that is something you would like to see happen.
The setting of MPs' salaries is a matter for the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA), not the UK Government or Parliament: www.theipsa.org.uk/
