EXTEND THE SELF EMPLOYED SUPPORT SCHEME
Employees are supported financially until October 2020, yet the self-employed will not be. The SEISS scheme has given support to millions of self-employed people for which we are grateful- stopping this in the next two months will be devastating for people all over the country. Please reconsider.
For many of us, it will take a long time for work to restart particularly in the entertainment industry such as Theatre and Event venues. If the self-employed income support is not extended, many of us will not be able to pay bills such as rent.
We request that government debate this serious issue and agree to ensure that the self-employed income support scheme is extended in line with employed support. This will ensure survival of important industries and help to reboot the economy.
