Free NHS prescriptions UK-wide
Healthcare should be accessible to all, regardless of age or region within the UK. Routine prescriptions protect general population health, and avert multiple hospital admissions each year.
88% of prescriptions are currently not paid for. A multitude of exemptions exist, from certain chronic health conditions to regional blanket free prescriptions. The administration involved in verifying exemptions, numerous in number could be eradicated if this were extended and all prescriptions issued free.
