The virtual parliament must remain in place whilst social distancing exists
It is imperative that during the covid crisis that all our parliamentarians have access to parliament. Since social distancing measures mean that only 50 members can be in the chamber it is essential that the virtual parliament stays in place. As members of the public it is right our MPs are heard
The idea that video conferencing and virtual parliament can be stopped at this time when:
1 Travel is supposed to be limited
2 Social distancing is in place to prevent spread of disease
3 Only 50 MPs can be allowed into the chamber
MPs must set and example and work from home, which has been proved to be possible and should continue. We have the right to have our representatives heard, barriers must not be put in their way.
