Petition Action

Remove Dominic Cummings from his position in the UK government.

Petition Details

An urgent review of the influence held by unelected governmental advisers and the positions they are awarded in the power structure of the national body politic.

Additional Information

I am concerned about the power held by unelected individuals in the British political
System at the highest levels. An independent review should be held to discover what influence is being exerted and whether oversight should be implemented on individuals placed in such positions of authority by the highest levels of the governmental executive.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can’t accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for someone to lose their job. Taking disciplinary action or firing someone is a matter for individual employers to take in line with employment law and the employer’s HR policies.

We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:

Lockdown breaches by Government officials must be treated as Gross Misconduct: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/321970

Public Inquiry into consistent enforcement of lockdown rules: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/322360

You could start a new petition calling for a review of the role and influence of special advisers, provided that it did not call for the removal of any advisers.
