Make it law that Hairdressers and Barbers require a license to operate
With the ever increasing numbers of barbers and hair salons opening there is an increased risk of health and safety. Licensing would help because those that break the rules will lose their license to trade. We need to safeguard the public from un-trained non professionals from trading.
Anyone that wants to open a Barbershop or Hair Salon should have completed a minimum period of experience on the shop floor to gain a "Shop License"
Individuals should need a license stating they have completed the relevant training or NVQ to trade as a Barber/Hairdresser.
Mobile Hairdressers should require a "Mobile Hairdressing License"
This will ensure the public receive a safe and proper service from a licensed professional
