Petition Details

Why did we go in to lockdown so late when it was clear that is was so desperately needed?
Why is scientific advice repeatedly ignored?
Why is it OK for the "elite" to obey one set of rules and the rest another?

Additional Information

This government is not fit to lead us through this pandemic that we face. There have been clear failings in approach again and again and we have no faith in the rhetoric we are being fed.

Our country is not being led in the right direction. One death from this pandemic is too many. 36,675 (plus those undetected and reported) is simply unacceptable.

How can we be expected to follow social distancing guidelines when the Prime Minister's chief advisor can so flagrantly ignore the rules?

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for Ministers to be sacked or for a vote of no confidence.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.

You might like to sign this petition calling for a public inquiry into the handling of coronavirus:
