Fund the BBC from general taxation and get rid of the TV licence.
Ideally simply to do what the petition suggests, but at least to debate the idea in Parliament.
To me it makes no sense for people to have the trouble and complication of having to deal with making a separate payment for a service that could simply be paid for out of general taxation.
