Driving vehicles as a means to test ones eyesight should be illegal.
The government should ensure that driving vehicles such as cars, trucks, motorbikes, etc as a means to test eyesight is illegal.
It is dangerous and foolish.
The government must make this clear and promote safety. And prevent unnecessary disasters for British people and citizens.
In recent events senior government officials have been promoting wreckless behaviour such as driving vehicles as a good way of testing eyesight.
This is not good for the general British public as some may follow in the footsteps of their beloved government leaders. Instead of seeking professional help from opticians, optometrists or even ophthalmologists some individuals may get behind the wheel of a car to test their own vision putting themselves and others in immediate danger.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Driving when knowingly suffering from a medical or physical condition that significantly and dangerously impairs the offender's driving skills, such as impaired eyesight, is already likely to be treated as dangerous driving. Rules relating to dangerous driving have not been affected by regulations and restrictions relating to coronavirus.
Decisions on whether to arrest and prosecute alleged offenders is a matter for local police forces and the Crown Prosecution Service, not the UK Government or Parliament.
