Penalty for delivery company 'no-shows'
When delivery companies enter into a contract with you to deliver on a specific date, there should be a process for the customer to penalise that company (such as a micro fine, or a portion of your lost earnings) for not showing up without a very good, verifiable reason.
It is a days wage wasted for the customer and their employer, yet the delivery companies get away with it, merely offering to redeliver on another day. You pay for a service, yet this is one of the few sectors that does not have to provide what you have paid for. Especially true now that the postage price is being hiked so high.
