Stop Mini-cab drivers from having to pay Congestion Charge for Central London
Ask Transport for London to make a regulation change exempting PHV drivers from paying the Congestion Charges when driving through Central London, as it used to be before April 2019.
Since the tax has been imposed being a minicab driver has become more difficult, as £11.50 has to be paid once a day every time a driver receives a job request that involve driving through central London.
Now, PHV drivers already pay a per year fee for the vehicle inspection which amounts to £140 (not counting an eventual recent increase of the fee).
It doesn’t seem to be fair for drivers to pay the fee, first of all because they don’t go to Central London by their own choice but because the client needs to, and second because they already pay an expensive fee to Transport for London to get their vehicles eye-checked every year.

The Government has agreed a package consisting of a mixture of grants and loans based upon a series of conditions agreed by the mayor, including the reinstatement of the congestion charge: www.gov.uk/government/news/government-grants-transport-for-london-funding-package
You could start a petition calling on the Government to reimburse people, or particular groups of people, for the cost of the congestion charge, if that is what you want to happen. You could also start a petition calling on the Government to seek to revise the terms of its support for Transport for London, so that this is not conditional on the reinstatement of the congestion charge.
