Ban disposable barbecues in the UK.
We should ban disposable barbecues from sale in the UK. They are used incorrectly too often causing sometimes huge moorland fires.
Disposable barbecues used incorrectly are causing sometimes huge moorland fires all over the UK during the dry periods we've been having over the last few years using valuable emergency resource, damaging fragile environments and killing wildlife.
They are also ecologically unsound (best case is they go to landfill) and should be banned.
They are dangerous when left unattended staying very hot for hours and contain a sharp metal mesh which can easily injure wildlufe or people coming across in unexpectedly.
Unfortunately people cannot be trusted to use these correctly as events through the years have shown.
