Pay everyone who has paid tax in any capacity the same 80% as other workers
The government should treat all people who have paid tax fairly by providing the same financial support as furloughed and self-employed workers have. Those who became self-employed in the last two years are not entitled to anything and what they have contributed prior to this is entirely discounted.
Many of us who have paid tax all our lives are not eligible for any government help to cover us for loss of earnings due to COVID. We have paid our share and contributed equally but if we're recently self-employed, are on certain contracts, earn certain amounts or hold certain positions etc. then we aren't entitled to anything. This is unfair, what people have contributed should be taken into account as we are now left with no access to financial aid. We deserve to be treated equally.
