Petition Action

Move all university courses online until the fall semester 2021

Petition Details

It is very unlikely that the corona virus will come to an end anytime soon and therefore to keep students and teachers safe, it is vital that all universities in the UK should close their campus' until the fall semester of 2021.

Additional Information

I would like you to move all university courses (across England) online until the fall semester 2021. This will have a substantial impact in the protection of both students and staff from the risk of a second corona virus outbreak; as at this current moment in time no one can possibly deny the possible of a second wave.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The Government is not responsible for how universities deliver their courses. This is a matter for individual universities.

The Government could require universities to close, or prohibit university buildings from being opened.

If you would like the Government to require all universities to close due to Covid-19 you might like to sign the following petition: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/300628

If you would like the Government to prohibit university buildings from being opened, so that universities have to deliver courses through other means, you could start a new petition requesting this.
