Teach the reality of Imperialism and Colonialism and UK Civil Rights movement.
The British education system has omitted atrocities that our country has committed during years of imperialism and colonialism. We brutalized, enslaved and stole. There is also little education on UK civil rights movement, implying we do not have a racist history here.
Teach our history honestly.
British children have a right to know that there was a civil rights movement in this country and that many of their bloodline will have supported it and caused positive change. They should also be taught to understand the realities of colonialism and condemn it.
Choosing to teach our shameful history in a positive light and completely omitting a pivotal part of pur modern history is to let white supremacy continue to thrive.
