Open UK zoos
We call on the government to allow zoos to reopen to ensure the survival of hugely important conservation projects and educational organisations.
With the easing of lockdown measures, it is clear that large parts of the country are ignoring social distancing by congregating at beaches during the good weather as well as littering these areas of beauty. Zoos are very safe places to go as they are outside and are able to limit nunbers to ensure social distancing is maintained. There are few places that can be safer to visit and that are able to manage visitor numbers. It makes no sense to stop these places from opening.
