Allow all UK Zoos & Aquariums to open to the public
UK Zoos & Aquariums are under enormous financial pressure due to lockdown brought on by COVID-19. These attractions are very much able to implement strict social distancing measures that include hand sanitiser stations, one-way systems and ticket sale controls.
Zoos & Aquariums are able to implement social distancing measures that are not currently in place at beaches and parks, which the public currently have access to. Letting Zoos & Aquariums open their gates to the public would save these attractions from financial ruin and closure, attractions that are paramount in the education of the UK public on wildlife conservation. Many conservation projects, both in-situ and ex-situ, would be hindered if Zoos & Aquariums were to collapse.
