Petition Action

Award an official medal to all key workers who served at the height of COVID-19

Petition Details

To recognise the contribution and sacrifice of all key workers during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, in what has been described as a “war like national effort”, by awarding each one an official medal from the state.

Additional Information

Just as millions of brave souls across the country gave so much during two world wars, including the ultimate sacrifice, so too have millions of key workers contributed to a modern day equivalent of a war effort in dealing with COVID-19, including those on the front line who also sadly lost their lives.
Key workers don’t ask for or expect thanks or recognition, so it is up to us, the public, to show our appreciation by supporting this petition for an official state medal to be awarded to them.
