Means tested prison stay
Ever thought about means tested prison stay? With the cost of prisons increasing and the strain on public finance, why not means test prison in the same manor as provision for the ageing population?
I know that if my parents were to need help in there old age their house would be sold to pay for it. However how much did it cost the uk population to imprison geffory archer? Surely there is an injustice here. As a 30 something taxpayer I'd appreciate a government which once again was tough on crime.
They do say crime doesn't pay, this would be one way to highlight this.
