Remove all low standard USA food products from the UK/USA negotiation table
The UK should, in all negotiations with the USA and other potential trading partners, be completely robust in maintaining the UK's current high food quality regulations. this means that animal husbandry and all cereal/fruit/vegetable crops should meet with current UK standards as promised by govt.
The UK has high food standards that neither the general UK public nor UK farmers wish to lower. The UK public does not want chlorinated chicken, meat reared using growth hormones, crops grown with environmentally damaging herbicides/pesticides that are currently banned in the UK, nor GMO crops that are also not considered fit for consumption.
The Government must honour it's election manifesto pledge and not "compromise on our high environmental protection, animal welfare and food standards."
