Extend the RTI submission date to the end of the 19/20 tax year for Directors
Directors on annual pay submit their 19/20 payment of earnings into the PAYE system at the end of the financial tax year, by extending the current RTI submission date of the 19th March til the end of the current tax year will ensure directors of ltd companies are included in the job retention scheme
The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is available to owner-managers operating under a limited company, who pay themselves a salary through a PAYE scheme, some owner-managers have submitted their annual salary at the end of the tax year and those directors have been penalised and are not able to put there claim into the on line HMRC portal to make their furlough claims. All directors on annual pay should be included in the scheme and by extending the RTI date will ensure no director is forgotten.
