Review Hydroxychloroquine in combination as an early treatment for Covid-19

Petition Details

Parliament should debate the evidence around the effectiveness of Hydroxychloroquine in combination with Azithromycin, Zinc and Vitamin C as an early treatment for COVID 19. The recent Oxford study and Lancet article are deeply flawed and there seems to be an agenda to deny the effectiveness HCQ

Additional Information

Parliament should debate the evidence and commission an impartial public enquiry. The failure to properly review the evidence of effect in reducing death rates from countries as widespread as France, Iran and Australia is potentially resulting in unnecessary deaths in the UK. This is a scandal.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The trialling of potential medical treatments is regulated by the independent Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), not the UK Government or Parliament.

In any event, since you started your petition, trials of Hydroxychloroquine as a potential treatment for Covid-19 have been permitted to resume by the MHRA.
