Retain "marriage" and the pronouncement of "husband and wife" as the cornerstone of our Society.
Marriage is recognised as the most stable environment for any family. The term transcends most religions and recognises the husband and wife as willing participants in this commitment. We should not be even considering changing what is already recognised and what many people seek to attain.
There are civil partnerships for same sex couples which satisfy their own views and there is no need or demand to change a practise and an institution which has been shown to be what most of us would aspire to in our lives.
