Make the use of masks or face coverings mandatory in all public spaces
As the UK eases lockdown restrictions, and in order to avoid a second wave of COVID-19 cases, the wearing of face masks or face coverings must become mandatory in all public spaces. This includes all public indoor spaces, and outdoor spaces where social distancing cannot be observed.
As documented in two recently published studies by the University of Hong Kong in The Lancet [1] and Oxford Clinical Infectious Diseases [2] journals, the wearing of masks can reduce transmission of SARS-Cov-2 by up to 75%, greatly reducing the spread of the virus.
Other EU countries already have similar measures in place showing good results.
